Ps 119:1-8

Alef as blessed man

Ps 119:1 ¶ ALEPH. Blessed [are] the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.

אשרי תמימי דרך ההלכים בתורת יהוה

Paraphrase:

way tread, bend, lead, archer, walk, guide, shoot, thresh, way, toward, journey, manner דרך those who are walking

• ההלכים ÷ אלהים - those who are like God
• הה-לכ-ים - the (in flesh and spirit) הה ones pl. ים walking לכ )

in the law

• בת-ו-רת - daughter, house בת clarified ו by friendship רת

of the Lord

• י-הוה - The creator י of calamity הוה
• י-ה-ו-ה - his thoughts י not understood ה his words ו not understood ה

Alef as blessed man

Ps 119:2 Blessed [are] they that keep his testimonies, [and that] seek him with the whole heart.
